DX RELATED COMPANIES IN JAPAN

While there are many definitions of DX, the definition used in “DX Promotion Indicators and Guidance” published by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in July 2019 is quoted below.

A company’s ability to respond to rapid changes in the business environment and leverage data and digital technologies to transform its products, services, and business models based on customer and societal needs, while transforming its operations themselves, its organization, processes, culture, and culture to establish competitive significance.

This book selects 20 companies from among those listed on the three startup markets operated by the Tokyo Stock Exchange that are considered to be actively promoting DX, and provides an overview of each company’s business, an overview of the startup market, the time period from incorporation to listing, the year of listing, the securities market in which the company was listed, the industry, the type of business, and the company’s headquarters. It provides a brief description of the location, overall financial analysis of the listed companies, market capitalization, market capitalization ranking, and indicators of the relationship between market capitalization and net assets or sales.
